Parking
Can I park in the church?

Parking in the church building is reserved for those with mobility needs. We encourage all drivers to park at the nearby Capricorn carpark (1 Science Park Road, Singapore 117528)

We have a shuttle bus service that runs between the church and Capricorn every few minutes from 9am to 1pm every week.

Attire
What should I wear?

We believe that God is present wherever His people meet together.

As worship is sacred, we invite you to dress for the occasion (smart casual).

Leadership
Who leads in church?

We believe that God calls all Christians to lead by serving others with their unique gifts.

We also believe that God has called men to lead in our church family.

A Cappella Singing
Where are the instruments?

We practice “a cappella” (literally “in the manner of the church”) singing in all our worship services.

We believe that God has created everyone (yes, including you!) with beautiful voices to praise Him!

Communion
How do you do Communion?

We celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ by taking the Lord’s Supper every week.

We welcome all who have obeyed Jesus in baptism to join us in partaking Communion. Pick up a packet from one of our friendly ushers outside the auditorium! 😄

Our Story

See how God has been writing PP’s story!

  • 1960s: Early Beginnings

1963: In the new satellite town of Queenstown, a group of Christians from the Moulmein Church of Christ began sharing the good news of Jesus. They held weekly “cottage meetings” at Lam Teck Ming’s home in Queenstown. Brother Henry Kong, our future founding minister, was among this group.

1964: Our first worship service took place at the home of Sister Polly Lee.

1966: Brother Henry Kong graduated from Four Seas Bible College and became our first full-time minister. We began renting a 2-storey HDB shophouse unit at 47 Tanglin Halt Road for our worship services.

  • 1970s: Ministry Beginnings

1972: Sister Nancy Morris shared the good news with our first Deaf member through a Bible Correspondence course. This marked the beginning of our Deaf Ministry.

1973: As our church family grew, we began renting the YWCA auditorium at Outram Road for our worship services.

1976: With the help of brothers Tan, Koon, and Kwan from the Serangoon Church of Christ, the church started a Chinese Ministry to reach out to the parents of our brothers and sisters who only spoke Mandarin and Chinese dialects.

  • 1980s-1990s: Building Beginnings

1982: Brother Danny Han entered full-time ministry as our Chinese Ministry Minister.

1983: God blessed our church family with the freehold property at 347 Pasir Panjang Road, where we continue to meet to this day. It was purchased then for S$1.2 million, with a generous $400,000 loan from the Quail Springs Church of Christ (USA).

1985: Our first Youth Camp took place in December, a tradition that continues to this day. Brother Patrick Ong joined our staff team as Associate Minister, focusing on work with the Deaf Ministry.

1988: To celebrate our 24th anniversary, we launched our first Mission Sunday, affirming our commitment to participating in God’s Mission throughout the world.

1994: Our first Church Camp took place this year, in response to our growing desire to spend an extended time with God and one another.

  • 2000s-2010s: Beginnings Through Leadership

2004: As our church family grew, our minister Brother Henry Kong saw a need for mature and diverse leadership, leading to the appointment of our first batch of 5 Elders and 6 Deacons.

2010: Our church family entered into a partnership with Sunset International Bible Institute (SIBI) to set up SIBI Singapore as a satellite campus, offering a 2-year degree program to train leaders across Southeast Asia for ministry.

2014: Brother Tan Beng Chuan, an Elder since 2004, entered full-time ministry as Lead Minister. Our leaders began a journey of prayer and discernment for leadership transition.

2017: Our founding minister Brother Henry Kong retired after 51 years of dedicated full-time ministry at PPCOC as Senior Minister.

  • 2020s: New Beginnings

2020: When Singapore announced its Circuit Breaker measures in March in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person worship services stopped for the first time since our founding in 1964. This began a long journey of learning to worship and maintain community virtually.

2021: Brother John Lim, born and raised in PP, entered full-time ministry as Minister for Youth, Worship, and Media upon graduation from Harding University (USA).

2022: Following years of research and planning, our church family began to rebuild our aging facility at 347 Pasir Panjang Road. We would spend the next two years ‘wandering in the wilderness’, worshipping at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel and the Oasis. Brother Beng Chuan retired as Lead Minister after 9 years of service, while Brother Barnabas Thng retired as Building Supervisor after 30 years of service.

Brother Irvin Wan, who was raised in PP, entered full-time ministry as Lead Minister. Brother Kyle Hooper, who relocated to Singapore after a season of equipping church leaders across Southeast Asia, was appointed as Missions and Spiritual Formation Minister.

2023: Our church family entered a season of discerning who God is and who He calls us to be. By His grace, God revealed that He is an Image-Maker who is Revelational, a Compassionate God who is Restorative, and a Table-Spreader who is Missional. These six characteristics of God have now become our six church values. During this year, Sister Annie Cheng retired as Church Administrator after 30 years of service. Sister Liesl Low joined our ministry team as Finance Executive.

2024: After a season in ‘exile’, we returned to 347 Pasir Panjang Road, to a new facility for a new season as God’s people. Sister Josephine Seah joined the ministry team as Ministry Executive.

2025: Our church family entered another season of discerning where God is leading us as His people. By His grace, God revealed that He is calling us to a vision of New Beginnings.
