Simon Goh started attending church since his youth and he was baptized at Moulmein on December 19, 1969 at the age of 16. In 1972, he was asked to assist Paul Lee in teaching a bible class and since then, he has been involved in bible class teaching and preaching. He has also served in various roles in the PPCOC Board and have been the church treasurer several times. Currently as an elder, he has served in this role for more than 10 years. He is grateful to his brothers and sisters in Christ for supporting him in this role and pray that he will be able to continue to serve the church.

In 1987, he married Wai Leng and God has blessed them with four sons and they are happy that they are all attending church faithfully. As a father, he also became involved in teaching the children in the RASS (Rod and Staff Session). Wai Leng is involved in the children’s ministry and they have gone on overseas missions together to conduct Vacation Bible School etc.

God has blessed Simon with a good job as a salesman for marine engines. He have worked in the same company, MAN, for more than 30 years.

As in the book of Joel, Simon wanted to dream dreams and help young men to see visions of church growth. Like Daniel, he will persevere and pray for the well-being of the flock at Pasir Panjang. Together with Joshua, he say of him and his house, they will serve the Lord. Finally, as David has lived, he prayed that they will be a church family, a family after God’s own heart.

Zechariah 8:23 – “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘In those days ten men from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, ‘Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you’”
