AMF Sunday Worship: What You Need To Know

On Sunday, AMF will be embarking on something massive and exciting: an international Sunday worship service. At 11am Singapore time (UTC+8), worship leaders from Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, the Philippines, India, New Zealand, and the United States will lead our global community in worship via Zoom. Our Sunday schedule remains unchanged. We will continue to hold in-person worship and live-stream via our church website. The only difference will be that there will not be worship leaders physically standing on stage. The sermon will take the form of a dialogue between two missionaries. It may feel less formal than usual, but you...

Rebuilding Progress: Tender Calling and Sub-Contracting

On Friday, 16 July, the Church put out a call for tender in the Straits Times, inviting the public to take part in the rebuilding project. In addition to the main building, the Church is now also calling for sub-contractors for ACMV, electrical, and fire protection purposes. We also invite members of the Church and your contacts to participate in the tender process if you are interested. For more information on both the main building and nominated sub-contract work, please visit our “Rebuilding Project” tab on our website.

A Minister’s Musings: Faithfulness in Frustration | By John Lim

First it was an unsuspecting boy, barely a teenager, suddenly felled by an axe stroke from another boy, barely of legal age. Less than a day later, the government enforces rules that restrict movement and social activities. It felt like we’re living in some dystopian teenage fiction novel. I wish as hard as I can to wake from this garish nightmare, from the shockwaves that have rippled through our nation’s consciousness and shaken us to the core. This has to be fake news, I tell myself, things aren’t supposed to be this way. We were supposed to be headed towards...

Online Prayer Warriors: A Reflection | By Aaron Tan

I attended an OPW meeting for the first time on 24 June, which changed my perception of group prayer. It was heartwarming to see a large gathering of people praying for others – brothers and sisters in Christ both local and overseas! Even if those praying did not personally know the person being prayed for, they still took great effort and sincerity to ask God for His mercy and offered thanksgiving. I felt the Spirit move through us as we surrendered all our burdens to Him. The OPW is a great testimony of God, showcasing how He works in His...

Minister’s Musings: Answering the Call | By John Lim

Minister’s Musings: Answering the Call | By John Lim

It is Day 14 of my journey into full-time ministry. I suppose that like any new phase in life, my first couple of weeks are a total blur of activity. I’m just trying to figure out how things work, getting familiar with my new responsibilities, and learning to establish meaningful routines. Everything about this feels so exciting and invigorating. All my life, I’ve felt like this was a call I was meant to answer—to love and serve people until they fall in love with Jesus. Everything I do, whether that’s working with the Youth or preparing for worship and engaging...

July Worship Theme: Giving

July Worship Theme: Giving

4 July 2021: Today, brother John Then kicks off a new worship series on Giving. While we talk about it every Sunday after the Lord’s Supper, it is easy to miss that Giving is more than a weekly act; it is a lifelong attitude.
