i'm a gadgeteer and always interested in the next big thing.

i got an acer ppc with built-in gsp some time ago and had a good time with it.
read my review at http://www.ppcoc.org/henry/06gps.htm
while it works really well,
the most difficult thing about that was getting a fix.

i got the packard bell gps thingy because
it sports a newer chip that allows almost instanteous fix.
just got it charged
and placed some songs and photos in it as well.

the sales people told me that set made in philippines
and that the manual printed in europe
so the menus does not match

after a day's test
1. fast fix - the gps follows you instantly
2. menus plain and simple
what a difference from acer 35 + map king

retail price $988
challenger member minus $30 + $2 (car park)

if only screen a little bigger
but very happy with it <
