Hands on Review of the HTC Diamond Phone





here are some shots compared to my current samsung f700
diamond is smaller, half as thick








the above picture gives the impression the htc is bigger
but as you can see from the first shot
it is actually smaller and slimmer
spells class all the way
after another afternoon with the htc diamond
here are my 2 cents'

1. beautiful slim form factor
2. great resolution - sharp and clear
3. gui even better than samsung f700
4. camera's auto focus is best i've ever seen
5. youtube is pretty speedy
6. weather is really nice looking

on the downside
battery seems to drain very fast

still have a lot to learn
but very fun

- cute and fun

had a lots of phones
but this one is way above all of 'em the camera is pretty good
esp auto focus

you tube is very speedy
esp with a wifi around
but 3g is pretty good too




also the video, though not as large as the iphone
is sharper and nicer
which makes viewing a joy
something that the lg viewty and samsung f700
dont quite cut it

weather is really nice
much nicer than the iphone
ie more animated




really a gem of a phone
slim, stylish
sharp and bright
wifi, 3g, hsdpa, radio, gps,
qwerty keyboard, 3.2mp camera...
everything except the kitchen sink



ok, here's the final installment
when i was using the samsung f700
it has one lousy game
and try as i did
there was no way to upload any stuff on it

now with the htc diamond
i am making up for lost time

there are 3 type of games you can d/l
first, jar games
though most games would not fill the large hi res screen








flash games work very well
including flash animations/movies








best of course
are native window mobile games

after a week with the diamond
i have kind of mastered it
and even found answers to my questions
that nobody seems to know the answers on web forums

in closing, i want to add
that the pictures feature are very good
in the samsung f700, i can only open pics up to 4 mb
iphone of course just resizes every pic to low resoultion

diamond opens an 8mp shot




and really zooms right in
