Hands on Review of the New Nokia e61i

After enjoying the e61, I was kind of dismayed by its speed. Especially when I put in too many programs, folders begin to take a long time just to open. Also, the absence of a camera meant missed photo opportunities on a number of occasions. Having said all these, the e61 is a great pda phone for newbies.

When Nokia wiser decided on an e6l with a camera, I jumped on the opportunity to upgrade. I was not disappointed.

Here are the pros:
1 Slimmer
2 Better QWERT pad, but too many extra hard buttons
(i dont like pulling out a stylus as it requires both hands)
3 Better screen and resolution
4 Nicer class steel casing
5 Ability to scan for wifi and surf the web offline
6 Good camera - 2mp
7 Nice free programs like Worldmate etc

Some minor picky cons
1 Too many hard buttons
2 I liked the e61 joystick better
3 Still too wide for me to hold

Battery appears to be better, and the speeds seem faster. So good, I retired my e70 and Sony Ericsson m600i.
