I am driven to start a Windows CE section on my PDA category. This is more than likely as I will posting a few Windows CE game review in the next few days. This first will be on Turjah, the Zap!2000 of the CE world, only bigger and badder. Then KSE Snake. Maybe a few more.
Here are three of the many factors that has led me to consider such a move:
1. There is a lot of cutting edge development that is going on in the CE world. Take for example available software like LookUp which allows Cassiopeia users to voice-activate contacts while Palm is just talking about implementing it.
2. With a more powerful CPU, the Cassiopeia runs emulators much more acturately. Already, I am enjoying emulators like GameBoy, C64 (running the original Lode Runner), MSX, Pocket DOS and MAME. By the way, iMAME (for Pocket Ipaq) will be wonderful as it is actively developed for the faster ARM chipset.
3. Last week when I was at Funan, I priced a 192mb CF for just a little over S$600. This means I could download 50 MP3 files and still have lots of room for other stuff.
