Bible Stuff:
THE BEST BIBLE COMPUTER SOFTWARE
After I have tested the Lesson Maker software I went on to order the Bible software from the same company.
Although I have been asked on many occasions which is the best Bible computer software, I have hesitated to answer as I cannot recommend one without reservation. However in recent months, I have tested this (together with Lesson Maker) with brothers Winston, Patrick, Raybestor and others and we all agreed that it is the best in the market.
The name of this program is called Word Search and is published by NavPress Software, 1934 Rutland Drive, Suite 500, Austin, Texas 78758, USA. Their fax number is (0011 512) 834 1888. The basic program and manual is around S$ 150 and you can use your VISA to pay for it. As you grow in your useage, you may want to get more modules or the full CD. Many of these modules work with its little brother, Lesson Maker.
I sat down with brother Winston one Saturday morning, exploring the subject of Redemption. Without leaving the computer, we breezed through various versions of the Bible, cross references, original Hebrew/Greek definations, commentaries, life applications and dictionaries with a click of the button. Because it seamlessly intergrates all these together (printing out or copying to your word processor), you get so much more out of the time spent.
Now, every Christian who has a computer can adequately prepare for any lesson, sermon or personal study with this software. It is reasonably priced, very easy to use and so user friendly that you will return to it over and over again.
If you have a computer and are looking for useful software (these are available in diskettes - so you can use it on your notebook too), look no further.
