Personal Thoughts...
Over a Million Copies:
Joy of Christianity
Early in my ministry I wrote a little tract entitled. the "Joy of Christianity". It was a double-sided tract published by Tract-A-Month from freewill donations. Since then, this little message has circled the globe in many forms.
1969 - Tract first published by Tract-A-Month.
1971 - Reproduced by brethren in England.
1973 - Published as an illustrated booklet with art work added.
1976 - Reprinted by the thousands for mass distribution by Star publications, Fort Worth (USA).
1978 - Booklet used as gospel meeting tract. (An example of its effectiveness was seen in a personal work visit by Lim Ting Chew. He shared the tract in his visit and returned with his prospect for baptism the same evening).
1980 - A detailed commentary was added to the illustrated booklet by its author. This booklet has since been used by the PP congregation in the "interview session" to go through the basic truths with responses to invitation before baptism.
1983 - Converted into electronic data and placed in Apple Format in the GRAPE (A Christian computer interest group) library in USA for public distribution.
1985 - Illustrated booklet translated into Mandarin.
1986 - A graphic version of the tract was produced for the IBM computer BBS
(Bulletin Board System) for public distribution.
1988 - A pictorial version for the hearing impaired was produced.
1990 - The entire tract was redrawn by sister Elaine Wong and revised by the author.
1993 - An Indonesian/Malay version was published for the work in Batam.
1994 - A computer graphic video tape version in English and Indonesian for teaching was produced by brother Winston Bolt with the Adrian Teos.
1996 - A Filipino translation was done by brother Richardio and is now in the hands of the printers.
