- well for me, a pda or phone would be a lot better
if there is a Bible in that thingy

most phones can install that excellent Bible with search capabilities
if you have a symbian s60, windows mobile or palm phone
the choices are even better

here's how to go about it
1. find a site with the bible in htm like bible database
http://bibledatabase.com/html_bible_files.html
and download the Bibles you need
2. tweak the index.htm to fit your device
for example the default is just too long to scroll
so i cut them down to size to fit one screen
3. put the folder into your memory card
and point your file manager to that folder
and click on index.htm
after selecting the book
it is a simple matter of going to the chapter
then the verse
