CHURCH CAMP REFLECTIONS

Dear brethrens in P.P. COC,

Thank you so much for the hospitality shown to us in this camp season. We all encouraged by your dedication and love in Christ for brethrens. The fellowship is so sweet than honey. Surely, what we saw, met and experienced there in Singapore will be a great benefit and example for our work here in China.

The camp is exceptionally great. I have become a regular attendee for the PP’s Bible camp in the past three camps. I see the lesson and organization is improving greatly year after year. I’m so inspired to see how you use elaborately designed game to train the members in developing ability to cope with real-life problems in relationships. I’m also encouraged to see how you apply the logistics you learned from national service in efficiently managing the camp activity. You devotion to service is also a great example for all of us.

We would like to express our thanks to below brethrens for you hospitality. As PP is blessed with so many devoted spirits, we are so new to camp and only visited for such a short time, if any name is missed from below thanks, please remember Christ’s promise for doing good upon the little fellowman. Your good deeds are already remembered by Lord in heaven and will be rewarded greatly.

“And the king will ask them, ‘Surely I tell you, just as you did it to one the least of these who are members of your family, you did it to me.’” (Matt 25:40)

“Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven” (Matt 5:12)

Ronald and Iris, thank you so much for opening up you home for me. My staying in your home was very happy. Your peach pie and mango pudding is unforgettable. I’ll have to come back again for that. And the durian was great. I haven’t had Malaysian durian since Lanjut and missing much. Thanks to Iris’s parents, for he taking me out for local delights and her the wonderful chilly cooking. Thanks to Kenneth for sparing your room for me. Thanks to Cheryl for taking care of me when I was there.

Peggy, thank you for hosting David and Ally in the night before leaving for camp and sharing with us. We hope can meet you again someday in China.

Michael and Belinda, thank you for hosting three of us after came back from the camp. The laughter we had together in that a few days is more than what we can have here in a month. The place is very cozy. Indeed as you said this house has blessing peace from God. Thanks for the many prayers you devoted.

Brother Eric, thank you for the invitation. We are more than encouraged and up-lifted from this trip.

William and Hedy, thank you for the farewell dinner, for taking me out, and taking cared of us in camp and Singapore. Thanks to Mic for you photography and fellowshipping with us.

Lee Hock and Serene, thank you for the home dinner and Hainanese fellowship with you family. The spaghettis and sticky rice was great.

Peter and Morene, thank you for the time spent with us. The view on top of Mt. Faber is fantastic.

Sister Lilian Kok, thank you for the day in your home. It was so much fun with your toys, we never get bored. Pray for your knee surgery and get well soon. Hope we will meet again in China this end of year.

Brother Terry Wan, thank you for taking me out for the city tour and coffee time. Also thank you for been my group facilitator. I learned so much from the classes.

Brother Winston Chong, thank you for inviting us for a breakfast fellowship. Your subject on financial freedom is very encouraging to us. I think many people in China will be blessed by your message. Also thanks to your parents’ rededication. We all were deeply touched by their life story. Lots of us were with tears in eyes. For Lord didn’t give up even on old folks (77 and 78) like your parents, then the rest of us, whose parents are not so old but still unbelieving, already have the living assurance that He will not leave behind any soul seeking after Him. Thanks also to your Godly wife Hong Ngee for her great support to you and the mission work. I met both of you three years ago as new born in Christ. Your zeal to serve and dedication is a great encouragement for me. I will tell of your story among the brethrens here.

Foon Yoong, Uncle Pang, grandpa, Charles, Justina, Eugene and other members in the family, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted” (Matt 5:4)

May LORD bless all of you abundantly and peace is with you,

P.S. I only kept the elder, deacons and staffs in the church copied. Pls help to cascade to the members.

On behalf of David. Ally and Brethrens in SZ COC
