The Youths at PP

I am very proud of our young people.

They have risen to the occasion repeatedly despite difficulties encountered in this year’s Youth Concert. Their voices and enthusiasm filled the air that evening. The cheer and response from the audience was reciprocal.

The sight of many of their friends being invited to the Open House at Pasir Panjang was such a joy. Many youth lingered on and continued with their own fellowship after the event’s closing.

It has always been my wish to hear out the young people how they are doing in their faith; their relationship with God and their fellow mates. Because of our youth’s desire to carry out this year’s acapella presentation at our annual Open House, I saw the suitability to include testimonial sharing as part of the whole presentation.

In the beginning, I approached those who had just completed their O or A Levels to share their testimonies. Around that time Kelvin was mentoring a group of youth over the course of the Purpose Driven Life series.

At the camp, when I heard the way some youth facilitate their peer, I was convinced to approach more youth to share their testimonies. In fact, I approached other youth to write out their testimonies so that we can hear their stories of personal faith. I pray that that these printed testimonies will serve as a springboard for many good works which can be found in our Lord Jesus Christ.
